OUR STORY
Townline Equipment is synonymous with high-quality products and first-rate service because it is and always will be committed to customers first. More, it has the history and experience to back up this promise. Longtime owner Bob Marrazzo worked many years at a small Case dealership in agricultural Salem, NY, where he grew up. After college and employment as a district representative for Case, in 1973 he signed on as manager/owner of Townline Equipment. The business established in 1971 had three employees, the usual new-business challenges, and every key development and change Bob made at Townline was toward providing the best products and service for Townline customers. Townline has carried the Kubota line for over fifty years as one of the original twenty-five Kubota dealers in America.

In 1981, to improve customer service, we built a 60 x 60 foot shop addition. In 1991, to house our growing supply of short line attachments and Kubota components, we constructed a 40 x 120 pole barn. In 2007 in order to meet our responsibility and commitment to provide a large inventory of parts, complete and timely equipment service to all of our customers, and a state of the art, energy-efficient work environment, we built a new 90 x 180, 23,000 square foot facility at our Plainfield location.

Townline Equipment is a family owned and operated business. Sons, Drew and Matt Marrazzo, worked summers and part-time at Townline when they were young, Drew in the shop and parts departments and Matt in the parts department and business office. Drew joined the sales team full-time in 2004. And after working in marketing and accounting for another local company, King Arthur Flour for four years, Matt joined Townline full-time in 2008. In 2011, Drew and Matt became the new owners of Townline Equipment.

Just as the Townline team developed the Plainfield, New Hampshire location to meet and serve the needs of local and regional customers around the Upper Valley, in 2015, to better serve customers in central Vermont, southern Vermont and eastern New York, we added a second location in Pittsford, Vermont, acquiring Giddings Equipment. Established in 1957, Giddings Equipment was another one of the original 25 Kubota dealers in the United States. From this location, we provide equipment, parts and service solutions for the full line of Kubota and Land Pride products.

In 2021, we celebrated 50 years in business. Our customers and employees are the reason we are here and the reason we were able to celebrate such a significant milestone in the history of our business.

In late 2021, we were lucky enough to add the Sharon Springs dealerships in Troy NY, Sharon Springs NY and Oneonta NY to the Townline family. With the acquisition, we added our third, fourth and fifth locations and expanded our service area from central New Hampshire and Vermont through the Albany New York area and central New York. Sharon Springs Garage operated under the Handy family name for 116 years, with expansions into Oneonta, NY in 1997 and Troy NY in 2002. Their reputation for excellent product, parts and service support and their commitment to their employees fits well with our culture of taking care of our customers, employees and the communities we serve. We are excited to bring on their talented team members into the Townline family and expand the capabilities at all three New York locations while we offer the best equipment ownership experience to each and every customer who chooses to do business with us.
In late 2022, we acquired Greenville Saw Service in Greenville, New York. With the acquisition, we added our sixth location and expanded our service area further into the NY capital region as well as Greene and Ulster counties. Greenville Saw Service started in 1972 with the Bensen family selling chainsaws out of the basement of their home. Greenville has a great reputation for taking care of their customers equipment, parts and service needs and we're excited to bring their excellent staff on board as part of the Townline team. In Greenville, we will be selling and servicing the full line of Kubota products including tractors, compact construction equipment, zero turn mowers, UTVs and haytools along with a wide variety of attachments from manufacturers like Land Pride, Cummings and Bricker, Husqvarna and more.
As we grow, we will continue to stay true to the values and vision built around always putting you, our customer, first. And for our next 50 years? We will continuing to serve the New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and surrounding New England communities, always providing high-quality products and first-rate service in order to support your needs and help your dreams for your property or business come true. We look forward to seeing you soon and we are excited to continue to provide you with the best equipment ownership experience.
