The New Kubota SVL65-2 Compact Track Loader

Kubota Tractor Corporation has added the new SVL65-2 to the company’s popular compact track loader line, further diversifying its construction equipment offerings. The new compact track loader is positioned in a lighter ROC weight class than its predecessors and features an advanced hydraulic multi-function valve, the line’s signature slide-up overhead front door, and on/off self-leveling capability. The introduction rounds out Kubota’s SVL line that includes the larger SVL75-2 and the SVL95-2s models. The new unit is available now at our stores in Plainfield New Hampshire and Pittsford Vermont.

"Its small-but-mighty size allows the SVL65-2 to maneuver easily in tight areas and is lighter weight for less soil compaction, but still packs a powerful punch in efficiency, making it an ideal choice for landscapers, rental yards and small contractors,” said Tim Boulds, Kubota Construction Equipment Product Operations Manager. “Offering this smaller-class size compact track loader further strengthens our construction equipment line and makes Kubota a formidable player in a new class.”
AMV Valve Allows for improved Multifunctional Operation The new SVL65-2 also features an Advanced Multifunction Valve (AMV Valve) that provides smooth operation when using simultaneous functions, such as auxiliary, boom and bucket circuits, allowing operators to be more productive throughout their work day. With the AMV Valve, the SVL65-2 makes running any attachment that utilizes auxiliary hydraulics even easier, especially attachments such as grapple buckets, 4 in 1 buckets, and hydraulic augers, to name a few.
Small on Size, Big on Power and Performance The SVL65-2 is powered by a 68-horsepower engine ready to power through any job. The SVL65-2 boasts a wide working range including a rated operating capacity of 2,100 pounds at 35 percent or 3,000 pounds at 50 percent, a reach of 34.9 inches and a hinge pin height of 118.5 inches. The standard self-leveling feature can be engaged with the flip of a switch and keeps the bucket or forks level without the need to manually adjust the angle on the way up. Plus, multi-function levers provide fingertip control of all major vehicle and attachment operations.
Exceptional Comfort While the overall footprint on the new SVL65-2 is smaller, the cab is equivalent in size to its big brothers the SVL75-2 and SVL95-2s. A wide door opening allows for easy and safe entry and exit. Consistent with the larger models in Kubota’s SVL Series, the SVL65-2 features an easy-open sliding front door – its signature and best-selling feature – that can be opened regardless of the position of the bucket or loader arm; plus, full machine operation is possible with the door open, if desired.

Kubota SVL75 Compact Track Loader and Kubota KX040 Compact Excavator Brush Clearing

Take a look at Kubota Tractor Corporation's SVL75-2 compact track loader and KX040 compact excavator making quick work of a brush job. The SVL75 is paired with a Land Pride SGC1572 brush grapple. The KX040 has a 24" bucket on it and a Werk-Brau Co., Inc. WBR05 frost ripper. In this video, we clear some unwanted brush near a parking lot, rip the stumps out and smooth over the cleared area to prepare it for grass seeding. We also walk through ease of use features, bucket and attachment options and basic service aspects for each piece of equipment.

Use a Skid Steer and Harley Rake to Grind Ice Pack

Recently, we took a video of a 7’ Harley Rake on a Kubota Tractor Corporation SSV75 skid steer. Commonly used for smoothing out driveways or reconditioning lawns during the spring, summer and fall seasons, we’ve begun using it for winter applications. Due to the rakes ability to bring the existing sand to the surface, we have found it to be very effective at breaking up thick ice on hard pack driveways.

 
The Harley rake has a tooth pattern on the drum that will create a textured surface with traction after the area re-freezes, reducing the amount of sand to maintain and make hard pack driveways safe during the winter months. If you are a contractor and have been considering purchasing a Harley Rake, but thought it would only be a three season implement, now you can use it all year round.

Kubota R530 and R630 Compact Wheel Loader Product Overview

Kubota’s redesigned R Series compact wheel loaders are packed with new options and features to perform a variety of applications including loading mulch to moving round bales and pushing snow. The R Series loader is available in two models, both of which can come with a factory installed full cab. The R530 comes in at under five tons and has a Kubota 48 horse power motor. Its larger sibling, the R630, is over five tons and has an operating capacity of 3500 pounds. Both loaders are outfitted with operator friendly controls, comfortable pilot seats, and folding panels for easy access to all engine related components. Both the R530 and R630 have electronic hydrostatic transmissions with high and low ranges. The R630 goes a step further and has five selectable speed ranges and four operating modes making the machine highly versatile to meet different operating conditions. The Kubota R Series loaders come standard with one joystick control to operate the loader and the direction of travel so the operator does not need to take his hand off of the steering wheel or loader control in order to shift from forward to reverse. The machine’s speed control is also located on the loader control joystick. Another feature that is available for the R530 and R630 is a hydraulic quick connect mounting plate for attachments. When paired with this option, the operator can switch from a bucket to forks without leaving the cab. The R630 also comes with the ability to run the hydraulic flow for implements separate from the main system. This is convenient for anyone interested in running a sweeper or compactor on the loader. With all the features the Kubota R Series loaders come with, operation can sound overwhelming, yet Kubota has arranged the cab controls in a manner that makes it easy to learn and operate the machine. Kubota has also put some time into the overall layout and design of their wheel loaders making certain aspects easier to access while maintaining a small profile. The engine compartment has a single fold up hatch allowing access to the fuel system, oil filter, and hydraulic pump. On the left side of the machine is a compartment that houses the battery and has space for storage of pins, chains, or tools. The right side compartment is where you will find all of your fuses, relays, and the electrical panel. Both compartments are lockable and use the same key as the ignition. An added benefit to Kubota’s cab design is the ability to recirculate the cab air or bring in outside air. From the operators seat there is a switch that the operator can pull when operating in dusty conditions to stop the dirty air from entering the cab. Kubota has preserved the operator’s rear visibility while increasing the overall size of the machine by locating the operator’s seat towards the rear of the machine and sloping the rear engine compartment.
